Mr. Barnes gladly accepted this special project for a contestant in the 2016 Mr. Oakcrest competition. This annual competition at Oakcrest High School in Mays Landing, NJ, features several rounds of competition - including a talent portion. One contestant was a trumpet player who sought Mr. Barnes' help with preparing a score for the show. The final arrangement was performed by a small ensemble of students, alumni, and the Band Director, Richard Schwartz.
